Period Home, London

This was a complete Interiors re-design for a beautiful property, packed with period features, set within the leafy suburbs of London. We worked closely with the owners to ensure their character was reflected throughout their home. Emphasis was placed on blending their existing pieces to marry comfortably with new features, to ensure a consistent flow throughout the house. Retaining the integrity of the period of the property, with a keen focus on its architectural features, was at the heart of our thinking when considering the soft furnishings. We brought classic detail into the forefront with a modern simplicity to the window dressings.

Emphasis was placed on choosing fabrics that blended with existing furnishings but also highlighted the beautiful features of historic windows. We chose a lovely Romo fabric with a gentle watercolour print that had flashes of vibrant colour, picking out existing cushions and other furnishing fabrics. The natural curves within the property softened areas and beautiful flooring lent itself to clean crisp colours. We worked to highlight the existing symmetry and the overall effect was extremely smart and elegant.
